THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HEART

One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley.

A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect.

There was not a mark or a flaw in it.

Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen.

The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.

Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine."

The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly ... but full of scars. It had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in ... but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges.

In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing.
The people starred ... how could he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought?
The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and laughed. "You must be joking," he said. "Compare your heart with mine ... mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."

"Yes," said the old man, "Yours is perfect looking ... but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love ..... I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them ... and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart ... but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared.

Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away ... and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges ... giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too ... and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?"

The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands.

The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart.

It fit .... but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges.

The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his.

They embraced and walked away side by side.

MENTALLY RETARDED

A few years ago, at the Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants, all physically or mentally disabled, assembled at the starting line for the 100-yard dash.
At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with a relish to run the race to the finish and win. All, that is, except one little boy who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple of times, and began to cry. The other eight heard the boy cry. They slowed down and looked back. Then they all turned around and went back.....every one of them.
One girl with Down's syndrome bent down and kissed him and said, "This will make it better." Then all nine linked arms and walked together to the finish line. Everyone in the stadium stood, and the cheering went on for several minutes. People who were there are still telling the story.
Why?

the story of the four candles

There were four candles.The four candles burn slowly.The ambience was so soft that you could hear them talking.The first one said, "I AM PEACE!However,nobody can me keep lit.I believe i will go out.".Its flame rapidly diminishes and goes out completely.

The second one says, "I AM FAITH!Most of all,i am no longer indispensable,so it doesn't make any sense that i stay lit any longer.".When it finished talking,a breeze softly blew on it,putting it out.

Sadly,the third candle spoke in its turn, "I AM LOVE!I haven't got the strength to stay lit.People put me aside and don't understand my IMPORTANCE.They even forget to love those who are nearest to them.".And waiting,no longer it goes out.

Suddenly...A child enters the room and sees three candles not burning."Why are you not burning?You are supposed to stay lit till the end.".Saying this,the child begins to cry.

Then,the fourth candle said, "Don't be afraid.While i am still burning,we can re-light the other candles.I AM HOPE!".

With shining eyes,the child took the candle of hope and lit the other candles.The flame of HOPE should never go out from our lives and each of us can maintain HOPE,FAITH,PEACE and LOVE!!!!

THERE IS ALWAYS A BETTER WAY!

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."

What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it."

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind.

But the first sign simply told people to help by putting some money in the hat. The second sign told people that they were able to enjoy the beauty of the day, but the boy could not enjoy it because he was blind.

The first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

PICTURE OF PEACE

There once was a King who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The King looked at all the pictures, but there were only two he really liked and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror, for peaceful towering mountains were all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky from which rain fell and in which lightening played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all. But when the King looked, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest... perfect peace.

Wealth, Love and Sucess

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in.

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"
"Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife.
"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."
The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."
Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"

recently because we had our photo of the whole class taken..

hello...i'm here to post a post...well,so how's the teacher's day celebrations??izzit fun??well, fro me it's not that fun...but it's still fun..those ppl hu decorated the class actuallie wanted to make it a surprise but then,we couldn't..and we also dun have the time to tell the whole class...aniwae,mrs ong didn't give any hw right?? we better be prepared for psle...we already promised in class during the celebrations to do the best that we can for psle...so lets wish each other gud luck in our psle...GUD LUCK!!! haha...i wished all of u gud luck already....

I hoped each and one of us show our appreciation to Mrs Ong.. Don't remember to forget that It is Teachers Day tomorrow... And Sherry, Emelda, Nabilah, Hafizah, Guan Poh, Wee Kang, Azini and Myself decorated the room.. Well, i think this only one way of showing care for out teacher.. We also shared our moneys to buy the class the hair spray.. Hey, Its our own money lorr.. Whahaha.. Never mind.. We all want our class to have fun for once... We are seeking for your cooperation for tomorrow.. Can? I hope so... And i also wanna say HAPPY TEACHERS DAY!! I really am seeking for ur cooperation 6V... And please don't say we are "action"... If we wanna act, we shouldn't be doing this to the class...

Well... Today quite good lorr.. We receive our results.. English we have no failures. Maths and Science, we have 10 failures each.. too Bad..

Hey 6 Valourians... If you want 100% pass, make sure you make a good team.. team effort lah.. Form a study group.. Well, study group does not work. You know why?.. We will juz talk and forget about the work.. Juz study hard in Maths and Science.. If you need help, just ask one of our classmates lah..
